I need to replace my Max Performance red primary spring. Does anybody know where I can get this spring or one that is equivalent? thanks

max is long out of bussiness so a new one is not likely unless someone has old stock. The red maxx spring is 52.5/130 kg. The closest yamaha oem spring is the yellow-white-yellow which is 45/128kg, so your engagement speed will be down. The final shift will be very close. You could use some spring shims with that spring and be very close.

I personally would use the hauck black and use 1 or 2 engagement shims as the replacement to the no longer made maxx red.

With stock clutching, what should engagement be? Manual calls for 4,200 but mine is more like 3,800.
