Ok so I bought this skid today, too good a deal to pass up,and it needs a few things before I can put it in the chassis.First thing it's lacking is the upper mounting shaft, the aluminum cross shaft that bolts the rear point to the chassis;will the one from my pro action skid work there?Secondly all the small idlers are missing so I'm hoping the idlers from my old skid will work here too,the 4 front ones and mounts as well as the 2 on the rail that mount towards the rear. And lastly the rotary dial that sets the damping is missing and I'm not sure if I need one or not I mean just how often does this adjustment get made anyway?Once the setting is where I like it it will most likely never be changed.

How about a spring option for my weight, about 225 plus gear say 240ish?

I just did this swap last week. You actually want to use the proaction upper cross shaft, because the stock shaft is too narrow because the apex has the drop brackets. Use your shaft with the outer spacers & everything. We have the adjuster but did not use it. I am going to make an adjuster from a speedo cable & just use it when needed. Put a little rubber cap on the adjuster the rest of the time. You will need to mount some plates in the tunnel for the front mount. We had ours installed in a couple hours.

I've been told those remote shock adjusters break alot so that may be something to look into and even eliminate as some have.Bruce at Pioneer could help you out and theirs a good chance your shock could use a service and revalve anyways.

Yeah I kind of figured on having the shock done before I put the skid in the chassis and he will most likely be able to point me in the right direction for a spring too.

mounting is straight forward. I can give you a few pics & dimensions when you r ready to start installing it. ViperGuy makes templates for this swap, but did not have any available last week or two. I just got my measurements from a '06 Apex, then accounted for the drop bracket depth. Have not rode it yet, but seems to work smooth. Also put viper shocks on the front, with extended radius rods.
