I am looking at the parts fiche for the oil pump on a 2001 SXR 700. They list 2 different pumps, 8CH 13100-00-00, followed by a 8CH5. The other pump is a 8DG-13100-00-00 followed by 8EA3 . What r the differences here. one is about 50 bucks cheaper than the other.

Not sure of the diff between the two you listed but I have one from a 98 SRX700 available if it could work for you...
That is the model designation, one is for a 600 and the other for a 700. You have a 8CH5

Thanks Allseason, They r different, I have a few SRX pumps already. I should have looked at the 600 parts fiche, that would have answered that question. Figures, it's the 200 dollar one. Anybody have a known GOOD SXR pump for sale.

I have a questing about my oil pump. I just bought the sled last year and i am finding my self filling my oil every 100 to 120 miles. i adjusted the pump by the cord but was wondering another way to adjust it. Also i am loosing coolant. i have no leaks in the heat exchangers. i am thingking it is leaking around the weap hole but im not sure.

@ 50:1 you'd use one quart for every 12.5 gallons of gas. you need to figure it out by gas consumption not mileage. but if you were averaging 12mpg (total guess) for 115 miles that would put you @ only 9.5 gallons per quart which is 38:1. but again this isn't the right way to figure it out

Could be a head gasket.
