Hey all, just wondering how this set up will do with my srx.
I live in Northern Canada(Labrador)
8DN20 weights, 4.5 in heel, 4.5 in tip, YWY spring
Green spring in secondary, with a Bender 51/43 helix
8 tooth drivers, with 1.75 back country track
Any input would be great, as I have all of this ordered!

it will over rev past your peak which is 8500rpm.
2 reasons: your now geared steeper with the 8 tooth drivers(gearing it deeper makes the engine pull more clutch weight because your removing load via the engine), the primary spring has more shift force/helix has a shallower finish
ways to correct: would be to use a primary spring with less shift force, more tip weight(washers on rivets) helix with a steeper finish angle more like 45-47 degrees.

I have pretty much the same set-up. I am geared at 23/37, with a 1.25 ripsaw. I used a WWW spring, & put 1 half gram washer in the tip, for total 5 gram tip, 4.5 in middle. Still pulls a good 8,600 rpm. It a good all around set-up, I am very happy with it. I am now going to try a set of heel clickers. I hope you didn't order the 8DN-20 weights, as those should be stock in your '01 ?

hey sorryi forgot to say that i have 1 gram washers for my tip weights! I just bought the sled, and for some reason it had phazer weights in it. so im goin back stock just changing the 3.6's to 4.5's with gram washers.
Im hoping with this setup and a 1 3/4 back country, with the bender transfer rods, it should be pretty good?
