I know this question has probaly asked many times but any input is good. 8DN or Ultimax? How about Gates or Goodyear Bluestreak?

I have had excellent luck with the 8DN's. Last a long time.

I asked a similar question about a week ago, and the answer I got was OEM from just about everyone that responded.
Stay away from the ULTIMAX
I just changed to the 8DN and I am anxcious to see how it responds and how long it lasts.
That last two Ultimax belts that I had blew up and trashed my speedo drive housing, belt guard, and foot well. I have heard of other Yami riders experiencing similar failures, especially with agressive clutch set-ups and hard riding.
GOOD LUCK!

8DN
8DN is all I use with no problems, tough belt, the question is where to get'em cheap, the dealers want from $55 to $67 around here which I think is to much.

Is there a 8dn that will fit my 96' vmax 600 ?

8DN will work on your 600. However the belt is harder and will need more weight in the primary clutch. If I remember correctly, it will also cost more. Might not be worth it.
