I have added aftermarket bars, riser, etc. to my MM. The heat tapes I bought don't work well, but thats probably because they are SPI. All SPI products I have seen or heard of so far are junk. I have checked my circuts on my sled and all readings are good. Can someone suggest some tapes that really work? Thanks

I had a heck of a time getting my aftermarket bars to get hot. Used SPI and RSI warmers with the same results. Tried them in series, tried them in parallel, same results - cold fingers. I ended up putting a wrap of electrical tape down, then the foil tape, then the warmer, and finally my grip wrap. Now them buggers get hot and stay hot.

I tried electrical tape, but not with the foil tape. What type of foil tape did you use? The stuff for heating ducts? Also, which brand of tapes did you end up using, RSI or SPI ? Thanks

Yep the foil duct stuff. Not sure which ones I have on there now. I think I'm back to the cheap spi ones as I hurt the rsi's the last time I removed them trying to get warm hands.

Mysledblows,
Did you end up running in series or parallel? I have yet to try mine since adding the heat tape, i have them in series right now. Thanks
