In a search to find a constant 12 volts on my 2001 SX700R I found a 3 prong female electrical connector that is not being used that seems to be a constant 12 volts. This plug is located right under the main coolant hose right under the coolant fill cap. I'm curious if anyone knows what this connector would be used for, and more importantly, does anyone know where I can find the male plug that would connect with the female end?
I want to buy the male plug and use it for hooking up either a 12volt "cigarette" type adapter or for hard wiring a GPS.
I checked the parts list and found the connector I am refering too, (part # 8CR-82378-00-00) but I'm pretty sure this is just for the female connector. I need the male.
If anyone can shed some light on where to find the male plug or can even offer input on what this plug is used for I would certainly appreciate it.
Thank you!

Or possibly for E-Start???
Anyone know where to find the male end???
Sounds like the elactric start hook up to me. That is where the ignition switch connects to the selonoid. The wire/plug would be part of the electric start kit

But would there be constant power there if it were for the electric start? I would think there would only be power there when you turned the key to start? You can rule out the grips by turning the grip heaters off with the key switch position.

plugs into the starter relay relay for electric start
constant 12v would be to charge the battery
constant 12v would be to charge the battery

That makes sense now that you say it.
