I've got viper rear suspension in my 98 srx 700 and I want to stud the 1" track. Would 1.175" studs work without hitting the heat exchangers or should i stick with 1.075"? I am going for 144 but not sure which length would give me better hookup without clearance problems. If anyone has a viper rear in an srx what length studs do you run? thnx

I hope the 1.175 work because I doing the same thing... '01 SRX with Viper skid, 1" Hacksaw track, and 1.175 studs.

I am pretty sure they will work fine.

The length measured seems different depending on the mfg. but for your reference I also have an '01 SRX with Viper skid and I'm using 1.175" Gold Diggers (144 inside and out) on a 1" Aggressor and found that I have to run the track tension closer to spec (opposed to running looser) to avoid rear HX contact. The contact wasn't severe and I do have rear protectors but when wringing it out in deep woops I was getting contact.

Not sure about the hacksaw but I had to nip the lugs about 1/8" to eliminate front HX protector contact with the lugs.

If your replacing the stock Yoko get ready to hang on. ;>)

I am replacing a Ski-Doo track that was on the sled when I got it. It sucks. I may not have a problem with the rear heat exchanger protectors because I have a Viper skid in mine. We'll see, I guess.

So did you have to nip yours right at the windows?
