A little background before I get to the TORS part. I am usually very careful when buying a new toy because it is easy for a seller to try to cover up defects in a motor vehicle. I kinda forgot that the same people can also be buyers. I had a guy come look at a sled yesterday. The first thing he does is set the parking brake then, a few minutes later when we started the sled, he implied there was a problem with the sled because the track didn't spin until he gave it a lot of gas. Smelling the belt burning I flipped the parking brake off and told him to give it another shot. I thought it was an honest mistake. Then he holds the TORS switch with his index finger as he revs the engine with his thumb and acts as if the engine isn't running right. I told him to take his finger off the TORS switch and explained it to him. He said he was a Skidoo guy so he didn't know about it.

Don't all sleds have some sort of TORS nowadays? I'm pretty sure my 1990 Indy Trail had it back when I had that 10 years ago.

I hate to think that someone would try to use that type of deception in an effort to whittle down a price, so maybe it was an honest mistake.
