Looking to buy and I see some SRX600's and everyone seem to talk about the SRX700's so, I was wondering how the SX600R and SX700R compare in performance/mileage/reliability to the SRX600 ? Thanks !

both are reliable.My SXR600 is bullet proof..it just won't break..same as with a SXR 700..tough sleds.Gas mileage would be about the same.Only with a 700 you have more get up and go.

srx700=140hp triple pipe
sxr700=112hp single pipe

mileage ....the srx does every bit as well as the sxr does and has gobs more power.

srx600 is a good sled but its down alot on power compared to a 700, they dont get as good of gas mpg either due to the larger pilot jets, and less hp carrying the same weight chassis/exh.set up.

srx600=118hp triple pipe
sxr600=98hp single pipe

ADD: reliability is great on all of them. They are completely differnt engines and dont share anything much other then a waterpump cover, differnt bore and strokes and engine designs. The srx's 64mm stroke vs the 59.6mm sxr engines. Srx has powervalved cylinders where the sxr engines do not.

Thanks for the replies this is good info.! How would the SRX600 run against the single piped SX700R ? My guess....the SX700R would be quicker (bottom end) and the SRX600 faster (top end) ?

CHUCKIE,GREAT POST. ANYWAYS GRASS RACING WITH AFEW BOYS THAT ARE RUNNING A 2001 SXr, A 1998 SRX 600 , AND A 2002 SX VIPER. I DID CLUTCH SET-UPS ON ALL. VERY CLOSE SLEDS HERE. I DO THINK ON A VERY COOL/ COLD DAY, SRX 600 GETS A KICK IN PONIES AND WILL WIN. DON MAKES A GREAT POINT ON THE SRX 600, SAME WEIGHT AS THE 700 WITH LESS HP, THATS WHY THESE SLEDS BECAME DINOSAURS PRETTY QUICK. STILL COOL TO HAVE, ONLY MADE TWO YEARS. 3:16 (yammie tony)

I have to agree on how close these sleds would run. I have owned all but the sxr600. I believe stock for stock its a tuners win!
