Curious if any of you old skoolers figured out a comfy seat alternative to the Boss.
I'm looking to get something a bit higher than stock as I added about 10" of rise, and something that is a flat top. The kick up on the back of the stock seat isn't very ergonomic for my lady to sit back their.
Maybe a newer Yami seat, or even something off a different brand.
I havn't been around sleds enough to see how other seats match up in real life to the shape of the MM

I made this out of a stock seat, some foam and vinyl with my wife's sewing machine.
It's not 10" but it's definitely better.

Broke down and bought a Boss
A lot of you have probably seen my write up about the motocross suspension seat I had on my viper. It looked cool and rode OK but when I switched over to the boss seat there was no comparison and you have to figure your time is worth something, I had over 50 hours of think time in my custom seat and 20 hours of Misc fit and fab time. I bought my Boss last year from big snow parts for $399 with free shipping. Number 1 investment I have ever made to my viper! I love the way it sits and rides, The only issue I had was how it fit the tank and i did a little write up in here on the remedy for that. no zipper issues, no seams apart, just a nice comfy seat. The storage rocks, it'll fit 6 20 oz gatorade bottles and still has plenty of room in the other pouches for all your repair tools when your buddies AC is sick. Keep the custom seat pics coming though I love to see peoples creative sides.

mines for sale 
We run the Boss seat on my and my wifes sleds. My Son, however did not like the ride or looks of the Boss seat on his Viper. Sooooo, I took it off and repackaged it up and stored it in the original box for a later day. Someday he might want it on. Talk about flushing $400 away. Al
I have 2 Boss seats in boxes as well that my sons didn't want on their SXs...yet.

No plans on selling mine..they will sit in the upper level of my garage with all the other Early SRX, 81 SRX, 540 VMAX, SX tripple, SRX tripple, and VMAX 4 parts...not to mention the MOTO SKI Grand Prix, + Bullit parts...thats just the sleds without getting into the RZ500, CBX 1100, CB1100F, KZ1300 and numerous other bike + aircraft + car ect parts.
LOL...My Bride says I need to start getting rid of some of this Stuff...but not yet.
