96 to 144 studs...

Hey guys, Have a Question.
I just bought another 48 studs but havent put them on my track yet. I have 96 studs in my track as I speak. Does it make a difference if I have 96 going to 144 on my srx 600? I know the hp is roughly 130 , will i hook up more

I just put on my 96 on my 600 v-max and though it looked like they needed more. I contacted Woody's and they said for my sled I needed 120-144 for normal trail riding
