How much space is suppose to be between your drive clutch and your sheaves?

.02 per side or .02 total?

Thanks

clutch

ya mean between the drive clutch (primary) and the driven clutch (secondary).....on a mountain max 268mm center to center and 17 mm offset, the back of the secondary should be about 17mm farther out than the back of the primary....having the crankshaft running exactly parallel to the secondary is most important. your secondary should slide around a little on the shaft, more is better than less, I think mine moves about 1/8-1/4 inch. you do all this by loosening the engine mounts and positioning the engine and shimming the secondary.
