700sx bog

There are no air screws, just fuel screws on the bottom of the carbs. Since you said it backfired that to me sounds like it's lean, try opening the fuel screws to 2.0 turns out. I had a bog when I switched to 142.5 mains that I couldn't get rid of, ended up burning it down on a cold day from being too lean on the main.

A 45 is the stock pilot jet size for standard sleds. They only changed them for higher elevation goin to a 50 or larger. Pull your spark plugs and look at them, if they are a dark brown or black then your running rich and need to turn the fuel screw IN but only a quarter turn at a time. If they are a light gray or white then your too lean and need to turn the fuel screw counter-clockwise OUT to add more fuel as your running lean.
