How does the Arctic Cat ZR600/800's compare to the SRX700's? :dunno: My buddy is talking about getting an Arctic Cat...

i had a 1996 zrt 600 and it was a tad faster then my buddys 01 polaris indy classic 700 non powervalved. it was triple piped stock. the zrt was a fun sled. but i ended up working on it more than i rode it.... typical.

Both of my brother in laws are running cats....one's a zr 580 and the other is a zr 600. Haven't really had to worry about either one of them on the hard packed trails when I go sledding with them. ;)!

There is one thing though they constantly have beaten me at whenever we've gone out riding......first to put their hoods up to check out what might be going on!

No experience with the 800 though.

Now that's funny! I'll have to let my Arctic friends know that one. ;)!

I'll let you know later this year how an old 97 Vmax 700 does against a 02 ZR800. :letitsnow

Thanks for the info guys! I will let my buddy know on what the opinions are and what he wants to do! I personally like both but, I want to go with the reliabilty and dependability...

My buddys got a 02 zl 800 last year, he thought it was BADASS! After handing him his *** with my srx 700 in every race he came up with he still thinks its a quick sled.......AND KNOWS MY SRX IS QUICKER!

every time i raced a zr 800 they would get out of the hole then it was bye bye. didnt make alot of cat friends haha gotta love a srx

A piped 800 in the right hands runs well but IMO are highly over-rated.

Maybe it's me but I couldn't ride my buds for more than 10-15 miles without my hands falling asleep. I've riden big bore twins but that ZR is one viberating mofo... I couldn't wait to get back on my triple.
