One of the things on my list to check this fall is the reeds and if they are in need of replacement what to use,the Yamaha ones again or a set of petals from Boyeseen?I'm not interested in the hp claims and I know using reed cages like V Force are generally a waste of money on a stock engine all I'd like to know is whether the stock ones last any longer or seat better than a set of aftermarket ones.What experience have you guys had with different petals on the stock cages?
if there is no chips or anything wrong with the reeds you can just turn them over and reuse them
Yeah I'm not sure what kind of shape mine are in yet as I haven't had the time to dive into my pre season stuff yet.
tuff to beat the stock ones, they last a long time and they work flawlessly. They are also very cheap priced new from yamaha. I have not found any noticeable power gain with reeds till your deep into the engine mods, the stockers work excellant.
