I am going to put in a toggle switch instead of the key switch on my 79 SRX but I need to know what the 4 wires that are coming to the switch do..... I could just ohm the current one out and see what is connected in the 2 positions however I think it is bad because only in the Light detent I have continuity between 2 wires. I think the colors are orange, yellow, blue and gray....... If anyone could help it would be great.

Grey and orange are ignition. When connected there is no spark.
Blue and yellow are for lights. When connected the lights work.

Ok thanks!, I will give it a try this weekend. So If I just leave the Gray and Orange disconnected then it will run, so I dont even need a switch for it

If you unplug the ignition switch it will run but the lights won't work. 79 and older Yammies had a three postion switch. Off, On and On with lights,
In 1980 they changed to just On/Off. The lights were wired hot all the time and couldn't be turned off.
