going across the lake yesterday I had all i could do to pass a 2004 rev 600 h.o. with my viper...I geared my sled down one tooth, would that cause me not to go flying by him?

in part...one tooth is about 5 miles per hour...other factors like the temperature and how spot on your jetting was....driveline resistance are a factor also...
besides...I think that 600 had dpm...which makes them spot on performance in most every temp...

5 mph on top end is a ton....that would be the difference in driving by.

yep...I would check also to see if the clutches are shifing out all the way doing the marker test...as I'm sure they're not....that's another gear that would help...maybe add a modded helix with the cut to aloow the secondary to open up?
