I have a helix for my viper that is stamped 7MSV2. Does anyone know what angle this is? Or what brand?

Tony is correct on maxx perf as brand. That helix was used in their viper clutch kits. Don't recall the angle. If you press the bushing out, the angle will be engraved inside the bushing bore. Or, try contacting Bruce Schrader @ pioneer performance, as he used to work @ maxx perf and might know the angle off the top of his head. When you find out the helix angle, please let me know what it is, so I can add it to my helix angle thread.

OK so i pressed the bushing out and there was nothing engraved on the inside. I am guessing the only other way is to have it measured?

I talked to Bruce and he did not have any info on it. He said he was not there when the viper stuff came out...

I WILL SHOOT FROM THE HIP HERE ON THE VIPERS I HAVE TESTED WITH DIFFERENT RESULTS. THATS A 52/ 42. ONLY A GUESS THOUGH. 3:16 (yammie tony)

ok so i used Turk's method for measuring i i would say it is a 54-46. Does that seem like it would be right? I assume that is for a clutch kit with stock wieghts. I dont think that will work too well with my heel clickers...

So that leaves me the stock 47, a 51-37, and a 51-43. Which would you suggest for use with heel clickers on a otherwise stock sled?

well, you only have one that will work and thats the 51/37, and that is actually a bit big for a viper unless you had triple pipes on it. Something more in the range of 48/34 or 48/36 works excellant on a single pipe viper and pulls very good topend speeds as well.

Back to using the 51/37, I would try about 4-5 grams heel weight, empty center hole with 3.3-4 grams tip. Only leaving the center hole empty because your going to shifting it very hard with the 51 start helix. With the 48/34-6 I use weight in both holes as the single piped viper can pull it with ease.

Thank you for the help! i have the 51-37 on it currently with the wieght setup that you recomended. It works ok, but you saying it is too big makes sense.

Any one have a 48-36 they would want to trade?

what brand 51/37 you running? what brand 48/36 you want? i know many on here recommend 48/36 helixs with heel clickers and lot of them use the "dalton" brand, which really like to measure 4 deg less than what's stamped on them, so for example a 48/36 dalton would be like a 44/32. i have a bender 45/30, that really measures 45/32 and would be perfect for you. interested? pm me please.
