Its a 95 vmax 600 and last year I greased all the grease zerts and the steering was stiffer than hell, even in the powder. It was hurting the palm of my hand and wearing out my gloves by the end of the day (only rode it once, new to me sled).
What should I be looking at to grease and lube up? How much steering stuff do I need to tear off and grease?

you have a stabilizer bar that runs from 1 scissor to the other.. should be a rubber boot .. pull that back ,i bet the knuckles are rusted and needs to be lubed.. pray the crap out of it and keep working the bars.... then when you have it free grease it good.. hope this helps..let us know

Those steering knuckles are in good shape lubed them up while I was there. Then I disconnected them to eliminate them a the stiff point and it still seems stiffer than it should be. All the other heim joints move freely. The only other thing it could be is the steering shaft right?
i would say either the heim under the engine or the steering post bushing also where on the rear suspension are the limiter straps front limiter strap may be sucked down too hard causing all the weight of the front end on the ski's

Try lifting the front of the sled onto a milk crate and undo the tie rods. When you turn the skis it should help pinpoint the problem.

The track sits perfectly flat and even the powder the sled was bear to turn. Anyways...I got everything lubed up, it feels slightly better. I guess I will find out when the snow files.
Thanks.
Thanks.
