Just tested the stator on my 2000 SRX. The pickup coli tested out at 193 ohms, well within the parameters. The charge coil resistance was at .67 and the parameters are .36~.44, is there a +or - variable, is this stator bad. Gary

.36-.44ohms is the +/-, .40ohm would be ideal .36 is minus 10% and .44 is plus 10%. at .67 it is out like 50%. i would check it a few more times to be sure you get the same reading before condeming it ,a little bit of corrosion on a connector can through such small readings off quite a bit.

problem with resistance checks are they have to be around a certain temp also, if its cold/hot the reading will differ.
whats the problem with the sled?

on my sled, it starts and runs fine, except it just dies randomly, starts right back up and runs a bit till the stator gets hot, then dies again, whether jack up in the garage or on the trail and the stator was rested at cold and warm temps and it stayed relatively the same. Mine's so far offtemp really isn't an issue.
