Hey guys what is your honest opinion on after market reed cages? Looking for more throttle resonse and can justify spending the money if I can actually feel the difference and it's not just "all in my head" so to speak. which is better V-force? Boyesen rage cage, or stock? What about spacers and carbon fiber reeds? Thanks guys

Plenty of info available with a search on this subject. It's your cash but the general consensus is that OEM reeds work just fine. Unless you've got some motor mods you're really not going to notice any difference other that maybe a little smoother throttle response with the aftermarket reeds and cages.
I just went back to stock reeds on my Viper. It came with VForce 3's when I bought it last year. They lasted about 3,000 miles and none of them were sealing. Couldn't justify spending 150 bucks just to replace the reeds so I went with the OEM's at 6 bucks each. Apparently the spacers don't do much on the Viper, the intake port is long enough. I'm sure someone else will chime in on that. Just my .02.

Boysen rage cage helps a bit but not worth the money that they cost unless maybe you are racing and looking for every little bit you can get. Spacers not good on the viper, Spacers hurt more than the rage cage helped.

Carbon Tech reeds went in my SX7. And yes, they definately added a smoothness 'factor' and abit more response. They did preform well and another set went in my son SX6 as well. Mine were 335LTs but obviously your in the Viper would be different. They mate right up w/ the stock cages also.

Looks like yours would be 370LT for an 02 Viper 700.
