Underglow

Anyone running lights or "underglow" on your sled? How would you go about hooking them up without a batt. I don't have a estate or Bart.. But Iv got hand warmers and headlights..
 

I'm not personally, but the neighbor across the street is running the LED underglows on his mach z.....wired them directly into his hand warmers and he flips them on and off with that switch.

Not to sound like an "old man".....as I think they are neat, but check out your state laws.....I know MN has a field day with them and he does way more riding with cold hands then funky lights.

Haha yeah I understand that lol it's illegal for us up in ny to run them on cars I know that they say for off road use only.. So I would imagine that would mean snowmobiling? But yeah the hand warmers are a good idea, I could just use that power wire and run a different switch tho..
 
i had a set of 5 tubes about 6 inches long that had like 6 or 8 colors had one under each running boards ,against the rear exchanger and under the hood ..they looked awsome ...and worked great ....BUT the down fall was.the wires got alot of build up of ice and snow that the wires would start to hang down no matter how much i tryied to stop them..and after a little riding snow would build up so much got to were you couldnt see them ..and after a month the tubes broke from snow and ice getting thrown up at them ..but other than that they worked great ..and they had a seting that they would flicker with the idel of the motor ,,,after they all broke i thought it probally would have lasted if i would have put the tubes inside of some clear rubber like hose to absorb some of the shock of being hit by stuff...
 
Yeah the rubbers a good idea anyone got any pics?? I'm going to look tomorrow when I go get my Tensioner pulley for my x-polder and see what advanced has..
 
i have the blue ones from wally world on mine . there on the tunnel by the seat . makes a coool blue on the snow around the sled

here they are the orange is parking lights , used for trail side b/s . and not getting hit parked out in the woods

I went on ebay and bought an led package camexwith about eight little led lighs and i just found any power wire ran a switch and powered my lights looks really shark i got some by each skis and inside the hood and also four by the tunnel . two on the inside and two on the outside.
