Windsheild Woes

hello

i have a 2004 viper S. the black/red one, more black than red. I am in the market for a replacement windsheild.....

does anyone know where i can get; or have for sale, a red windsheild? ideally i am looking for a red chrome. no problem to find blue, blue and more blue.

also. was wondering if a windsheild off another yamaha model woudl fit. if so which cause i cant figure that out.

might be eisier to buy just buy one with the height you like and then paint it. idealy you want to get a clear sheild and paint the inside, but you can paint the outside as well.

No red chrome for vipers. Already been down that road before. Best bet for red is to do what tip said and paint it.

yep paint the inside of the shield.Make sure it is really clean and use Krylon paint for plastics.It isd fast drying also and does a nice job.I painted the inside of my old SXR clear windy Blue.Works great.I wouldn't paint the outside due to flying chips of ice and snow will chip the paint on the front parts,branches from trees will also scuff the paint on the outside.

look for someone in your area that does spectra chrome or chosmochrome. my neighbor does it. can chrome anything any color

I have the same viper, only windsheild I found that works with the colors is a black replacement thru parts unlimited or dennis kirk. Just put one on my sled, looks good. Couldn't find much else other than what you did.

The only ones I've seen currently available is the low black directly through yammie, or there is a dark smoke stock height by sno stuff that looks sharp as well. There are some viper windys floating around on ebay. NIP NOS for decent prices....
