Hey guys, im new here and looking for a little advice.
I recently went through my carbs and cleaned everything. Now once i shut the choke off the sled idles all the way up to 3500 rpm and stays there. The single idle screw on top pf the carbs is backed off and the slides are all where they should be. Did I maybe turn some screws inside the carbs to give my sled this high idle?
Thoughts?

Where did you set the fuel screws?

you probably have your throttle cable to tight..make sure cable has play in it
Check throttle cable play, check to make sure carbs are seated properly, check pilot screw settings. Did you also clean the circuits in the carbs and blow air through them? Check the throttle cable on the back of the flipper as the cable may have become unseated. You'll know by looking at the barrels on the end of the cable.
By turning the idle screw in(tightening) you are raising the idle...(just for safe measure).

This is the one thing I'm questioning most. Before reading specs I set the fuel screws 1.5 turns backed off. If I read correctly after reassembly I think it said 1.25turns backed off. (plugs are burning perfect after 17miles currently with fuel screws still 1.5 turns backed off)
throttle cable has play in it, and I set off the TORS system when I backed the idle screw off too far.

If you blip the choke and it comes down, you are lean on the pilot circuit. Could be still dirty. Do you know how many turns out the fuel screws were before? Out is richer, may have to go another 1/4-1/2 turn out.
sounds like a slide or slides are stuck open or you have an air leak. You should be able to kill it by backing out the idle screw so something is not right. Look and make sure your slides are going all the way down and check your carbs are in the boots. It must be something that happend well the carbs were off so you may just have to go back find out what it is. Another good thing to try, make a large adjustment to your fuel screws like one turn richer and see how it responds to this adjustment if it does not respond it is something more then just fuel screw adjustment that is needed.
Back the screws off another 1/4-1/2 turn as todays fuel qupality is not the greatest.JanglinJamie said:This is the one thing I'm questioning most. Fixed!! Somehow I only had the screws 1 1/4 turns out, I brought them out to 1 7/8th and it idles perfect now.
Thanks a lot for all the pointers!
