Anyone else have a thumbwarmer that get hot enough to burn their finger? Does anyone have the wiring schematic for the SXR 700?

I guess I should have done a search first. I found some good info on the subject. I guess I am not alone. Looks like a lot of people put another rheostat in to control the thumb warmer seperately.

Do the hand warmers get hot enough for ya. When the hand warmers start to go bad, some/much of their power is diverted into the thumb.
ya i need a new right glove every year....maybe i should put the throttle on the left side for a couple of seasons to get rid of some of my spare leftys

Now that's a good idea cook the other hand for a while. The handwarmers seem to work great. I took out the potentiometer for the handwarmers and it is a 500 ohm. So I will get a 500 - 1K ohm pot and connect it to the thumb warmer so I can control the temp. The nice part about this year is it has a warmer position on the ignition switch so I can turn them off if need be. I guess the older ones did not have that.
