how much HP just by adding carbs to a triple, triple yamaha 700 engine? is it worth it? how about boring them to 40 mm's, will it still be trailable?? or just for racing?

Don't think you will gain much if any. Some guys out West here went to TMX38s with porting and big bore kits. They seemed to be able to jet better when they were at 33's. I know of guys who bored carbs to 35.5 and only gained bout 2hp on dyno. Mad Max has done his he may chime in here or you can PM him.
IMO from what I have seen and heard (didn't do it on mine), you gain zip.

intoodeep has hit the nail on the head, especially if you are riding mountains. There is no air there, a bigger hole means nothing. Dont waste your money. I almost bought PSI big air's, but sighed a huge sigh of relief when I didnt and found out it did nothing at altitude.
