are there any guys running 1.25 tracks with studs, and kept the stock drive cogs. i'm looking to get a track and would like a studded track but like the traction of the 1.25 lug. i've meet one guy who runs a viper with a studded ripsaw and stock cogs. i currently have a 1.5 in track on my sled with stock cogs and have a wee bit of clearance. i'm gonna chance it and go ahead and get the 1.25 studded track i think just wanted to see how many people on here run them like that.

I tried it went for one weekend trip chewed my front heat exchanger up. No leaks thankfully. removed them soon as I got a chance. I didnt have front protectors though. Wish I would have found this website before I tried it

I have a friend that has an SRX with a 1.25" track with studs and the stock 9-tooth drivers and he doesn't have any issue. I have no idea how he is getting away with it.

If your changing track out just switch the drivers to 8 tooth.Only way you can get away with stock 9 tooth,1.25" track, studs is if you keep your track super tight and dont ride rough trails or jump. Not worth the headache if you tear stuff up.

I have a 03 Viper and my dad has a 02 Vmax. Both have the 9 tooth drivers and 1.25in ripsaws with studs. We have had no problems, no hitting of the exchangers at all. Tracks are a bit looser then spec too.

I wonder if its because of different stud lengths. Im running 1.325in woodys gold diggers. Whats everyone else running for stud lengths??

1.25 ripsaw with 96 1.15 studs (overall 1.49). I first bought 1.40's big mistake. looked way to long. These bigger lug tracks bend some. Added tunnel protectors mounted on there sides.(paddle would rub straight up and down),Heat exchanger protectors. I did a pattern that keeps the studs away from center of middle.Trimmed track a bit to clear front heat protects too.
(I have read 1.175 studs are the largest studs to run on chassis with 9t)
I found deal on 1's a tad smaller. They are like a 1/8 or 16th longer than paddle
but whatever

1.15 studs are for a 1" track. They are shorter than your 1.25" lugs. I have 1.25" ripsaw, 1.5" stud boys, 8 tooth drivers. I don't want to ride around wondering when my heat exchanger is gonna get hit & smoke my motor when the coolant leaks out.
