every trail is closed with lack of snow through out the Province.Only 1 place around the Pas is slightly open. That is way up North,10 hours from here.Pathetic Winter season so far, can't believe nothing to ride on before xmas.Have not seen this as far as I remember ,season's are changing.BOY the dealers must be hurting along with the places that sell gas and food along the trails.Probably no one buying passes right now..so a lot of people not making money. No down hill skiing either locally..they usually pack the place around xmas when kids have some holidays...THIS PLAIN SUCKS for out here...

Yea Im pretty sure I was riding this time last year. I think the months dont match the seasons anymore?? Everything is shifted like a month. To get snow in may is just plain weird!!
Hell ground not even frozen here in Maine. We have had two snow storms one 3in storm and a 6.5in storm and its all gone. Mud when sun comes out

yeah you are right there motorhead....I think the Farmers Alamac is calling for snow in April next year for us.Last season it was over early week of March.I just have a sinking feeling it will be a cold winter with very little or no snow.Would be a change that I have never seen before..but again we were in a drought since last Summer and it seems the drought is continuing. We have had the driest Summer in 50 years...gonna be bad next year if we get no moisture on the ground.

if this is the trend for the future..dealers won't be selling sleds anymore..will switch more into quads and bikes. Some of the smaller dealerships may even get out of sleds for good even.I noticed a lot of out of town dealerships were swamped with brand new 1 or 2 year old sleds..like Polaris and doos and some Yami's even.

yup winters are not like it supposed to be..damn global warming. They say the Arctic Ice is still melting like crazy so there you figure it out.Pretty soon living up North will be a disaster.Winter roads will no longer exist for trucking goods and species like the Polar Bear they say will be gone in 20 years or less. The Ocean levels will rise and give way to more crazy weather abroad...but they say we are headed into another ice age after this.I will be dead and gone by that time while my SRX will be sitting in someones garage ready to ride..
In central ND, where usually I have a couple hundred miles on by now, we have a somewhat white ground with grass still showing. It's disgusting really, my first actual ride just might be in Colorado at the end of the month sadly.
If this snow were getting keeps up ours will be open in a week. lol

6 feet is a little to much for me.I will take a foot or two and that would be just fine for riding and no getting stuck issues....actually I'll take a foot of snow even..

one really good thing is we are saving a lot on fuel and oil...and wear and tear.At least I know my sleds are in great shape sitting in the garage.Probably should put them in storage for next Nov/Dec season. With global warming there might not be any snow in the future when you think about it..The Glaciers melting should be telling us something.Maybe we should sell our sleds to some suckers before it is to late to dump them...
All I can tell you that in 2011 so far..there has been only 2 months of riding..January and February.. for me and that sure is disappointing...and you wander why I wouldn't spend huge $$$ on a new sled....At this rate my SRX will be just as fast in the year 2030 and still using the same belt as it has on today..not to mention probably won't even have to worry about cleaning the PV's....lol
