ln an ideal world joehunt is dead on, problem being depending what costs to have it welded, even if a shop charges an hour min for small jobs you would be better off getting a used part from evil bay.
Me, a distant relative of REd GreEN who lives miles from anywhere has used JB weld with great sucess with a lot of things from engine blocks to fuel lines etc etc, what ever it takes to get out of the bush with the minimum damage
lm also a lover of bars leak,l use it in all large gas engines as preventative maintaince this is not the job for it,
Moral of the story lf you have a tame welder let them weld, it otherwise clean it up well JB weld it, and keep an eye open for a good used one.
