firecat's run a 13.5 wide track. you may sacrifice some traction but you will see higher top speeds, i've been debating on doing this or not, very light weight, probably a good touring track for high distance riders

yes they are, a lot of lake guys run these tracks because they literally weigh nothing, if you can stud them enough for ice and get traction with 150+ hp they make for a great lake/trail track. in any other type if use say off trail or loose snow conditions they don't offer much of anything

im gonna run it loaded with 144 chisels.

now lets hope it isnt too narrow for the bogies
your talking half inch on both sides lost... ittle be tight. make sure you alighn it well. and another question is the skid the same width as a srx / viper on the phazer? may run into issues with the cogs alighning propery in the skid?

i assume they are all the same width, my engine builder said it would work, im taking his word.

now the next question is track clips, i should i clip every window?

the track i want only has clip every third with no guides.

should i add the clips with guides to all the other windows ? or every other?

anyone have a clip tool close to CT?

i'm running the 14x121x1.5 freeride track that is supposed to be the deep lug alternative for the phazer. the track will align correctly with all the bogies in the stock yammi skid (test fitted it on a stock viper) also i'm running stock cogs and it aligns with them also, you have 1/4 of track hanging off each side of the rear bogies so yes align it correctly haha

If you stick to lakes and trails, why would all riders not want to go to this kind of track? First I've heard of this, and wow, for more top end, this seems like a great option!

There were many reasons the 2003 F7 cats were as quick and fast as they were[although I hate to admit it] their 13.5 "x 128" track was no small part of their formula. These 14" tracks should work well for descent top speed.

One of the advantages of our old SRXs + Vipers is that they are dureable and last long so, for some of us, they have become the "hot rods" of the snowmobiles. We can take what worked on other brands and adapt them to our sleds. This works great to have a personalized great performing reliable sled.
