Anyone else find out the hard way that gumout carb and choke cleaner swells rubber? as in float needles, bowl gaskets and the little oring in the air screw?
lucky for me it seems that with a little warm air blowing on them from the furnace they shink back up but im still crossing my fingers hoping the seal like they are supposed to

hey watch out carb cleaner swelsl rubber ....if you need them parts send me a pm i have several carb racks for parts i am sure between them all i can get you the stuff you need

ive never had the cheap walmart stuff swell anything before but i decided to buy gumout this time because it came in a bigger can and poof!! thinks got bigger! and for once thats bad!

I am always cautious about using carb cleaner or solvents around rubber products. I use the carb cleaner to cut the grime off of the outide of the carbs and to clean the circuits and any stubborn gunk inside the carbs. In my book gumout is "good stuff".
