Well, the SRX is ready to run...and we are as brown as brown can be here in MN. Last years "monster" is now this years toy to my daughter. Mountain bar installed for her to ride with me along with her "favorite" helmet on order. Ah jeesh..........where's the snow...40's are killing me!

Wonder if I can coax her into asking santa for some snow this saturday... :letitsnow

Nothing in the recent upcoming forecast either...other than rain. ARGH!

Steve

tell me about it..at least there will be no Flood in the Spring to worry about.... :o| Nothing in the long range forecast here either..what a dry spell since June...

Quite the change from the snowstorm I drove back in last January from your neck of the woods!!! Barely made it across into ND before they shut down the interstate. Experienced the highs of highs last year....I hate the lows of owning a sled though...........maybe all the flood plains will finally be able to be planted up there!!!!!

I sit on it...start it...but can't run it.....Christmas is going to suck BIG TIME if I give my daughter a helmet with no snow to run......almost break a 3 yo's heart! LOL

Maybe I hold onto it until her birthday in February....I'd hope we have snow by then........

Yep...that would have been the trip....though the news was already there....I was just cleaning it up.
I knew I should have brought my sled up there! The red looks awesome for sledding!

No snow in the Ottawa area either!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If this crap keeps up I will have to cut the grass again...........lol

cut the grass again...lmao....I got so bored the other day I decided to snow blow the lawn a little..just to test out the snowblower that I did some work on..it works..where is the SNOW. It is warming up here now and some possible rain showers.ahhhhhhhhh!

It's torture. I have a trip planned for new years weekend from Two Harbors to Grand Marais. It's not looking good.

the real big deal is that the ice won't be forming good on the Rivers,Streams or Lakes. Then if the snow comes,it will insulate the ice and the ice won't freeze down to deep..could be dangerous this season on any waterways. We already had 1 death here up North where the ice should of been ok,but the snowmobile went thru and this is the first snowmobile fatality of this season..there will be more sadly. The Lake are still high from Spring flooding in the West..so water is still moving at a good pace leaving ice in some places thinner then in others. But you can't tell from on top and there will be air pockets below the ice as levels slowly drain out..not a good sign.
Only reason I have some snow in my yard is because of the trees..out in the Farmers fields and ditch's there is NOTHIN to see that is white...YIKES!!!! This is NUTS MAN>TOTALLY NUTS!!!!

With the multitude of lakes around here in MN....plenty of sportsman have been itching to get out on the ice for a little fishing. Surprised I haven't heard of more stories yet here. With this warm weather and precipitation, I am sure it is only a matter of time before the news stories also pop up.

I was hoping with this lack of snow we'd get a good solid base of ice on the lakes and rivers....guessing it is going to be another crappy year of honeycomb/wafer ice.

Saw a guy out the other day on his Harley driving around town....don't see that to often around here.

Sure is a far cry from the forecast they gave in October. Said it was going to be stormy. Just goes to show they have no idea. Its my fault anyway . I bought a sled this year after being out of it for a couple yearss

well apparently the Weather people are saying we are in uncharted times now with weather. They can't go back and base it on what they used to.They said that predicting weather from now on will be very difficult with the way things are changing.Hey the Ice is still melting in the Arctic up here in Canada..no decline there they say.It is a sign of things to come and as Oceans warm up more..who know..Could be short lived because predictions are for a mini ice age to come in around 30 years time. There are scenarios given that the City Of Toronto will be one big block of ice,but won't reach us here in central Canada. And then they say whenever it melts and resides ..every building,pole,tree..etc will be taken with it as the ice breaks up...can't believe these were being spoken about on a show about global warming and return to the ice age...weird or what...lol

We're getting 11-12 degrees C tomorrow. The ground is warming up and with rain its going to be really late coming. I am hoping I am not done in this year. I was planning on more than one ride. 3 years ago that was all I got so I skipped last year with no insurance or trail pass. I have it all now but I can't spread cotton down and pretend its snow. Bummer...

Well thats long range guess. I can only see until Monday and 4 high-1 at night and maybe some wet snow/rain. We've had it much colder last week about -7 at night but its like spring now with a warm from up from the deep south. If it comes it won't last. I like to get some snow to run the machine a few miles up down a local trail or field to see if everything is ok. I stick close to home base the first couple of times out to be sure I not stuck broke down and verify both cylinder are running properly. (checking the spark plugs colour) and such. No real high speed just spirts now and then.

If its coming a bit too much for you, blow some further north, Ok.

the days are warm right now and nights are cold the ground is pretty solid so if it snows it should stick for a couple days i just want to give my new suspension mod a good run and see how it performs. the real wait for me is the bay to freeze witch wont be until almost January i have an old 70 johnson with a 440 snowjet to take out ice fishing dont need any snow if you have a bogey wheel only suspension..

Where are ya in MI? Here in Traverse City it is looking like there is no chance of riding before Christmas. The 10 day forecast shows one day at 30, but other than that it is all mid to upper 30's and only in the upper 20's at night at the coldest.
