HELLO,
My buddy has a srx that we extended to a 144x2 and he wanted me to ask everyone if it would be a good idea to take the stabilizer bars off. I have a viper mountain and I know they come stock without them so that is why he thinks its a good idea. What you guys think.

you can "test ride" by unbolting one side's dogbone and see how it feels. use a zip tie or equivalent to keep it from flopping.

when you make the decision to fully remove it, easiest is to cut one side off and pull the bar out the other side. i highly recommend sealing the holes after removing the bar.

i removed mine last year. i ride in wi and i personally dont have a problem with the handling. less weight is why i did it.

I took mine off and tried it and felt like it handled like shit. It had no stability at all cornering and felt like it was going to go straight when I turned the handlebars. Not a good feeling.
