I just bought some 7.5" rear wheels without bearings and ordered bearing # 6304 (20x52). For some reason the inner race is wider and once assembled I have no room on the axle for the left wheel to sit on? Is it these new chinese bearings? Is there a width difference between the 6204 and the 6304? You would think the width would be the same!

you have to cut down your spacers a tad to account for this.

6304 are 20 x 52 x 15 / 6204's are 20 x 47 x 14 / stock is usually 6004 which are 20 x42 x12 if you go to www.xvb.com they've got all the bearings and specs.

Thanks for the info dudes! It looks like the bearing width is 15mm and should be umm 14? Im going to use a pipe cutter on the aluminum tubes for a clean cut. Just have to take measurements so the wheels sit right in the track. Think im going to put this in the tech section when done.

Blue, it also looks like the wheel offset is a little different as well. So looks like an important step. Thanks for the advice!! I did the 4th whl kit last season so maybe the tubes could be off as well. I cut with a hacksaw and the cut sloped some.

Yea I got a late start on pre-season maintance due to a large amount of snowblower repair and car sidejobs. So been rushing but cant see any riding intill
late jan when a base is formed. You could always go to the arctic cat forums and stir the pot!! I swear I buy these things to fix the un-broken, along with atv's, chainsaws, string trimmers, etc. Always turning wrenches here too.
