I twisted the speedo link off today, took apart to put a new one in , but I have heard a lot of people in this site if this happens to check the bearing. The bearing did not have a gravely feel to it, but the outer race moves side to side a little, but not up and down. I pulled the seal off, it didn't look too bad, just a little dirty, should I clean and repack and put back together or replace the bearing?
Thanks
Thanks

Thats the first sign of a bad bearing, you can change it pretty easy on the sled, just loosen up the track tension, then remove the 2 set screws in the collar of the bearing, usually while lightly tapping on the collar with a drift punch in the set screw hole pocket, it will come right out. Once out, clean up driveshaft with sandpaper lightly and smear on some antiseize, install your new bearing, set screws, speedo key, speedo housing/cable, tighten track back up- your ready.
