Just got my sled back together tonite and I took it for a test ride. Sled ran fine until I let off it at the end of a field, then it took it two or three seconds to catch its breath. I think I'm to rich what do you guys think for jetting. I bored the can, geared it down a tooth, and thinned the head gasket, other than that she's stock. What do you think of 143.5s and 145 clutch side. 142;5s across scare me for ethanol. Thanks

What octane fuel are you running?
Stock, regular 87 octane is what you need but since you thinned the head gasket which raises the compression ratio you now need to run premium 91 or higher to prevent any pre-detonation or "knock".
As far as jetting, we need to know what sled and engine size plus what elevation and temp you regularly run at.

I am running 93 octane and it is a 700 triple, usual riding temps are between 0 and 30. Elevation is around 1200 feet.

Where are your fuel screws and needles set at? What were the temps out that day?
