Just started clutch work on my sx, and I am using one of Turks set ups. It says 2 to 3 engagement shims. Can I get these through yamaha or do I need to go to bender or hauck. If I go through hauck or bendetta should I go with .6 thousanths shims, I am using a trail set up from turk. Also if yamaha has them, does anyone no the part number,thanks.

The part # is 90201-483P9-00 from Yamaha. Each shim is 1mm and will increase engagement by approx. 100 rpms. What Yamaha recommends is not to go over 3 shims because it can cause your primary spring to bind. To add more than that I would contact the vendors that make thicker ones before you add them. Bender and Hauck have them in their online catalogs.
