Can any one tell me weight difference between 700sx, 700viper, 700srx? Thanks

yamaha changed the weight specs later into the years as you can see by the srx, but they are a bit heavier then listed when put on a scale.

I thought the 700sx would be the lightest. Where did they loose the pounds on viper? Thanks for info

plastic skis are a big one
Aluminum shaft compared to the sx,aluminum bumper supports.Lots of little things.

I'll bet if you weighed the SX with plastic skis and you'd be pretty damn close to the same weight as the Viper. I'm putting some plastic skis on a old Phazer II and I was very surprised at how heavy the steel skis are compared to the plastic ones. My sx has had plastic skis since I bought it.

When I bought my 02 sxr yamaha had it listed at 489lbs. Same
as the viper.
