Hey guys... take a look at part 5. I do not have this on my shaft. Is it necessary to space the speedo bearing?
my 98 srx doesnt have it either
so does the bearing go all teh way down the shaft then or does it need to be spaced?

aren't those the locking collars for the drive sprockets. Mine has those right up against the sprockets I assumed they were to keep them in spaced properly.

#5 locks right up against the driver if you have one. They are not needed. What are you asking about spacing the bearing? Once the axle is installed and the Chaincase side in all in, the bearing is installed from the secondary compartment up against the bracket thats rivited to the frame the allens are tightened and the speedo cap is installed. It all fits together snug. I thats whats you asking?
