So it started life a single lunger 250cc... Somewhere along the way my eleven year old daughter out grew the bravo's neck snapping power . So I bought a used 84 ss 440 motor from a friend for the donor motor. The motor came without a carb or clutch. After mounting and aligning the engine to the bravo stock secondary I put the bravo clutch and belt on . It looked good so I moved on to the no carb problem, closest thing I had was 78 440 exciter carb. So I put it together like that , really expecting lots of belt or clutching issues. Which I haven't. So my question is , what clutch would give me the best payout. Primary and secondary recomendations and what do you advise for carb? We live in Alaska and plan to use on our vintage oval circuit.

I've heard the polaris indy 500 (90's) primaries work well on these motors but the application was in a 1/4 midget asphalt car.
The guy I was talking to suggested one for my SRV as well so they must work good, his car has won

I had a couple SS 440's and one had a comet 102 clutch and was faster than the other and more tune able back then. Good luck

KC thinking about doing the same thing only with a 340 motor. What did you do for an exhaust pipe?

Hacked up a single ss440 pipe, cut an inch out of the neck just after the Y pipe. Then cut off the muffler and used a stinger off an old set of pipes. Sounds pretty nasty. I'm sure there is lots of room for improvement while there is not alotta room. Had to cut one small hole in the cowling so the mag side sparkplug would fit. Looks kinda ghetto. Can I upload photos from iPhone?
