I have the rear skid from a 03 viper, I want to put it in a 98 srx, from what I understand this is a direct bolt in. The front end is where I am lost? I have the viper trailing arms, spindles, skis, steering rods, stabilizer rods, and shocks. The top shock mount is different, if I can find a way to make it bolt up can I use all of these parts? seems like it should work.
Somebody on here must of tried this already.

Check with BETHEVIPER on here, I think he sells mounts for bolting up the Viper shocks.
What if I cut the "fork" off the end of the shock and just weld on a regular bushing like the Ohlins have then they should bolt right up.

Just do some searching on here. This is a common modification, but
there are considerations.

Does anyone have these shock mounting brackets already made up? Or even some good pics of some? I can probably make a set myself if I know what they should look like.

If your handy at fab work the spacer bushing found in the side idler wheels on a proaction can be installed between the fork of the shock. The fork has to be bent in a vise smaller so it fits between the chassis bracket. The spacer can be welded in spot on the forks for more support.
The hardest part is bending the forks staight but can be done with a square block at the start so it will bend around it and no more.

I was thinking about using the ends of an old sway bar link, they look like they would work.
I found the adjustable front shock brackets! I have been all over the internet with no luck, then finally I stumbled upon them. They are made by a company named Sno-tek components, they sell them for the Srx models for $48.00 a pair. They are made out of chromoly steel for durability. The mounting hole for the shock is slotted for adjustment and it is moved up higher and more outboard. Im going to call them on Monday and see if they still sell them.

You will also need the steering arms for the spindles because the splines are different. You could also mount up some arctic cat fox shocks or someone on here used kfx 450 shocks.
