I notice a few threads in this forum have gold stars in the rating column. How does a reader rate a particular thread? Is there any significanec to this rating other than showing the reader population that a thread is popular?

Top right of your post box in the blue, it has a rate thread button. I'm thinking not to many people use it cause I don't see them very often. I want to know how to add to the green buyer/seller block under the members thread info. Haven't figured that one out yet.
