I have a 2000 sxr700 and noticed that my movable sheave is cracked. I have a clutch off a 94 vmax4. I want to know if this will work if I change the rollers, weights and spring . Also is the crank taper the same.

Turk,
Will one of the newer clutches fit an older Phazer, 91 long track to be exact.
Thanks.

The older primary clutches fit the newer sleds but not vice-versa.

John, the clutch will physically function on the sled but there are differences. The 94 has thinner sheaves as well as different angle sheaves which affect your shifting. But it does bolt on.
Lone, any later clutch will work on that PZ as long as you have the correct rear sheave with the surface for the drive seal to ride on.
