Just putting the intake side of the motor back together with new reeds and I'm confused. In my SRX manual there is a note that tells you to "Place the reed valve with its concave surface facing towards the reed valve seat". Well... I must be going blind because they appear to me to be a flat as could be.. any input? I read some threads were individuals suggest you can flip used reeds over to get some more life out of them.

Install them so they seat tight against the reed cage. I usually hold them tight where the screws go & make sure they are sitting tight. U can flip them over & check again. They are flat, but tend to b bowed one way or the other usually.
