On my 2002 Viper, I swear I took out 2 of the brass colored semi oval holders that help keep the wires and cords that run throught the steering column together...thought I dropped one and lost it.

I think there is one on the top steering column mount and one on the top of the handle bar clamp. They are different but serve the same purpose and are gold coloured.

Do these add any strength to the clamp assembly or are they just for routing? I added a 2" Rox pivot riser and left the one off so the cables had more slack to move around and have since been second guessing myself a little on this.

pretty sure they're just for cable routing. cant see how they'd add any strength. plus look at all the weight you're saving...lol
