some guys never do maintenance and what kind of spring was that he had in his hand at 1.02 minute mark.Serves him right and to say POS is absurd.Just because he is on a camera he thinks it is right to put down the SRX...it comes down to human error most cases..

More than likely heat stress cracks in the fixed sheave. Happens with age or if your belt is too tight. Can easily be seen early on before they do this. I had one go on a viper last year. the e-start ring held it together luckily. 8000 miles on clutch though. Check your primarys boys !

What was that little spring at 1:04?
Totalling it out, LMAO! I discovered a small crack forming on my sliding sheave so I decided to replace it BEFORE it blew up, I'll be into it less than $100 by the time it's set up decently.

Blue I was wondering the same thing. Where did that spring come from. If that was flying around in there it could cause all kind of damage.

in his comments he said he bought a ski doo and already replaced piston and rings.

This guy is the Albert Einstien of snowmobiles!
the mysterious small spring looks like it would fit inside the primary spring i kinda wonder if someone had it in there with the primary to help change the total force of the spring rate a little bit. as mabey a cobb job solution for tuning the clutch? idk thats the only thing i could think of myself.

all of you who are wondering what that spring is kinda surprises me. next time you open your hood, on the top of the clutch cover there are these little plastic things that hold, say, extra spark plugs? ever take a plug out or put one in? feel the spring tension that holds that plug in there? thats your mystery spring.
