Plug it back in and adjust for throttle play in the cable....than reset idle and check your play again.

like bluewho said, 9 out 10 times TORS probs are from throttle cable being too tight. but how did you try to bypass it? you have to disconnect it then connect the 2 connectors from the harness side together to bypass the system.

Are you sure you got the tors wires and not the coil wires?

You might have done the kill button.Take the time and type out what is the problem after you have put it back.

doesnt make sense. it was running before doing this? do as bluewho suggested and reconnect everything and see if it runs. and as he said what were your probs that had you try bypassing it?
Ok got it running. I was bypassing it because once I get on the throttle and let off it wants to. Idle itself down under 2000rpm.staggs65 said:doesnt make sense. it was running before doing this? do as bluewho suggested and reconnect everything and see if it runs. and as he said what were your probs that had you try bypassing it?

usually a tors issue will keep the revs around 3000rpms when it's activating while trying to give it throttle. your rpms staying at 2000 after letting off throttle sounds more like an idle hang. clean your carbs. if it still does it turn out your idle mixture screws more, if above 2 turns go up a pilot size
Yes it activates around 3000rpms but won't accelerate again till it returns to an idle.staggs65 said:usually a tors issue will keep the revs around 3000rpms when it's activating while trying to give it throttle. your rpms staying at 2000 after letting off throttle sounds more like an idle hang. clean your carbs. if it still does it turn out your idle mixture screws more, if above 2 turns go up a pilot size

well that cerainly sounds like a tors issue. do you have slack in your throttle cable? you need some freeplay in it

Throttle cable is most likely too tight, loosen it up and try again.
