I have a 2002 viper. I'm haveing problems with dash cutting out. Could hi/low beam switch cause this. Low beam not working, dash will be on and when you press switch from hi to low beam, dash cuts out. When dash is on and switch is on hi beam i pull apart connectors where hi/low beam wires are located. When i push it back together dash will cut out, but if you push it in just slightly, dash will come on. Any ideas.

Check wires for rub through. Common problem for vipers. Start at the handlebars and work your way down. Search "wire harness rub through" Tons of info on this.

Does hitting the brake lever cause the dash to go out too?
Same symptoms as when my stator went out.
Still wouldn't hurt to go through the wiring.
