gaskets, indent up or down

does anyony know what way the new yamaha gaskets are to be installed, raised part up or down.

so it is always faceing the installer on all of the gaskets with the ridge? like power valve and reed gaskets

is it ok to use the metal yamaha gaskets with the v force reed cage? i took them out to look them over and the gaskets that they used were a papper type with a copper coating
